It all started with a little curiosity.
I loved making planners, and I could spend hours wandering through Etsy, looking for beautiful artwork and creative supplies. Somewhere along the way, Etsy began showing me something called junk journal kits.
At first, I thought they were just another kind of clip art. But the more I saw, the more curious I became. What exactly was a junk journal? And what were people doing with all these wonderful little pieces of paper?
So, naturally, I went to YouTube to find out.
And just like that, I was hooked.
Of course, I couldn't just leave it at making junk journals.
I'm one of those people who looks at an ordinary object and starts wondering what else it might become. A cardboard box isn't necessarily a box. An envelope doesn't have to behave like an envelope. And a paper towel tube? Well, that might just be the beginning of something completely unexpected.
I have a habit of starting with a simple idea and following it wherever my imagination decides to wander. Sometimes that leads to a beautiful journal. Sometimes it leads to an elaborate little contraption that takes considerably more figuring out than I originally planned.
And sometimes I look at what I've made and think, Well, that was fun! Now what else could I do with it?
That's probably my favorite part of creating.
I love the experimenting, the problem-solving, the happy accidents, and those wonderful little moments when an idea finally comes together. I especially love discovering that something ordinary can become something extraordinary with a little imagination.
And somewhere along the way, all that curiosity became Pixie Printz.
Today, Pixie Printz is a place where I share those adventures with other curious minds and creative spirits. We make junk journals, experiment with unexpected materials, create whimsical paper projects, and occasionally wander into entire imaginary worlds.
Some projects are simple. Some are delightfully ridiculous. And some begin with absolutely no guarantee that what I'm imagining will actually work.
But that's half the fun, isn't it?
Whether you've been crafting for years or you're just discovering what a piece of paper can become, there's a place for you here.
You don't need fancy supplies, perfect techniques, or even a finished plan. Just a little curiosity, a willingness to experiment, and perhaps a sense of humor when things don't go quite as expected.
Because around here, we're not just making things.
We're discovering what else they can become.
Curiosity started Pixie Printz. Possibility became its philosophy.
